Hebrews 3:1 “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;” 

Hebrews 4:14-15  “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”  

These scriptures clearly show that the Lord Jesus is our one true High Priest. Despite this fact, many men in this day and time have foolishly claimed this title for themselves. Blinded by pride, these men consider themselves worthy of and honor that the Heavenly Father only bestowed upon his Son. If any man claims that he is the High Priest of God, he is contradicting scripture and is guilty of nothing less than blasphemy! 

Hebrews 8:1-4  “Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2  A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. 3  For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. 4  For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:”

We give thanks and praise to the Heavenly Father who has appointed to us a true High Priest, blameless, without fault or sin. Christ Jesus, who has ascended into the heavens to appear in the presence of God for us.
